Red Fox; (Vulpes vulpes)

 

Foxes are omnivorous mammals that belong to several Carnivorous groups. As well as hunting for food they also scavenge and become town pests.

​

• The vixen’s gestation period is 52 – 53 days and will produce 4 – 5 young in a litter.

• Weight is between 4 and 9 kilograms.

• There is associated diseases toxoplasmosis, tetanus and distemper which pose a risk to the domestic Dog.

• Control measures include trapping and border proofing. We as a business do not relocate foxes we catch.
